This year we have a number of staff changes at both campuses of our Black Gold Outreach School. We welcome our new principal for both campuses, Bev Lyseng. Bev comes to us from Edmonton Public Schools. She has a heart for kids and can’t wait to get to know our students and staff.
In Leduc, we have the privilege of having Derek McKinnon join us in our Junior High Math and Science and Senior High Science programs. Heather Piercy will be sharing her love for literature as our new Senior High English teacher. We are also welcoming Luke Stevenson back to us from our Beaumont campus to help us out in the roles of counsellor, learning support and Biology teacher.
In Beaumont, we are welcoming our new secretary, Alanna Campbell. She will be the smiling face as you walk in to reception and the cheery voice at the other end of the line when you call in. Jolanda Nichols is joining us as one of our new teachers who will be working alongside Jan Pellegrino in our new Junior High program being offered. Jill Delancey, has also joined our team as an EA for complex need students. Jennifer Southcombe and Khristi Elford have been recruited to the Beaumont team from the Leduc campus to teach in our Senior High Science and Math departments.
It definitely takes a village to run our Outreach program and to help our students succeed in all their education endeavors. Thank you for being patient with us as we all find our new rhythm in the upcoming school year!
